Finding Joy in Joining Us

We were so busy in the spring that I was looking forward to the “lazy days of summer”. Goodness was I delusional!

I was only looking at the regular activities, not all the behind the scenes work that needs to be done to make our congregation such a wonderful place in which to be a member.  With the change in the fiscal year, the budget had to be finalized and the dues packets had to get in the mail. All the committees and ancillaries came together to put their events on the calendar for organization in planning for the year. We are a very active community, and I hope you will find something new to participate in this year.

We received our new Torah with a lovely service on Shavuot, the giving of the Torah. High Holiday planning is in full motion; you should have received the calendar of dates in your membership packets. More specific information is coming with times, memorial names for the Yizkor Book and sign-up for our annual Rosh Hashanah dinner.

Men’s Club has made their Dine-Outs monthly, Sisterhood began a monthly Ladies who Lunch, and Adult Education has added a monthly evening program in addition to the outstanding education we are so fortunate to have. Our Tikun Olam outreach has added Meals of Love for hospice which we had previously discontinued because of Covid. These are new activities that have been added to our already busy calendar. You can find our calendar by logging onto our homepage, and it is the first item under engage with us.

Our volunteers are so dedicated to bringing you a variety of programs. I hope everyone finds one new activity to attend this year.

B’shalom,

Pam
