Introduction to Judaism Course...Session begins May 31

Starting January 23, 2023...Beginner Hebrew Class for Adults

 

Have you always wanted to learn Hebrew?

Do you want to have an adult B'nai Mitzvah?

 

This is a 10 week course focused on learning the Hebrew alphabet and beginning to read prayers.  Upon completion of this course, there will be another class on Hebrew Chanting.  

Cookie Cohen will be teaching this class on Monday's at Bnai Israel from 1:30 - 2:30 PM.  (Note: Classes, will note be held on holidays when the office is closed).  You will receive your own Hebrew Workbook for learning.  Class size will be limited to 10 people to allow for hands on learning. 

If you are unable to join the class at this time, but are interested in learning Hebrew or participating in an Adult Bnai Mitzvah, please complete the registration form and Rabbi Bender will work with you on other options. 

 

Cost is $18 BIC Members; $36 Non Members

Scholarship is available if needed.  Please contact the Bnai Israel office for more information.

Before the Rabbis came along, Judaism only had a handful of holidays: Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Sukkot, Shemini Atzeret, Passover and Shavuot.  The Rabbis added in many other holidays and days of remembrance, including Hanukkah.  The question is, why?
