From Our President: December 9, 2022

Dec8

It’s hard to believe that it is December already, what a year it has been.  If you were able to make the Annual Meeting you heard all that we have done throughout the year and know how busy we have been.  We also laid out our goals for next year and are excited to have you join us in the many different activities going on at the Shul.

I want to thank the outgoing board members.  As I mentioned, I was handed the best of situations with a strong synagogue and Board.  We were able to accomplish a lot and worked very harmoniously.  Thank you to Michelle Bannon, Steve Stein, Harold Eichenholz, Ruth Smith and Bruce Moskowitz for your service and all that you have done to move the Synagogue forward.  I truly enjoyed working with each of you.

Welcome to new Board Members, Pam Sender, Treasurer, Hal Throne, Liz Berger and Felice Zeldin, as well as Scott Johnson, who is returning to the board.  We look forward to working with you!

On another note, as you know, we lost our Communications Coordinator in May.  Nancy Kraselsky has been managing our communication needs ever since by managing the newsletter and Shul Cloud for most of 2022.  We advertised the position and are very happy to announce that Nancy will be serving as our new Communications Coordinator.  With her knowledge of the Synagogue, she will be able to produce & edit the newsletter seamlessly, saving time for everyone.  We are very excited to have Nancy on board for this position.  You may contact Nancy at communications@bnaiisraelilm.com if you have any Communications related update or feedback.

I hope you will join me and the Rabbi in a sponsorship of the Sisterhood’s art show coming up this February. Many of the people who came last year were from outside of the Jewish community and shared how wonderful they thought the event was.   The Sisterhood is one of the backbones of our synagogue and we are very thankful for the work they do on many different levels.

Happy Hanukkah!

B'shalom,
Amy DeLoach
